Skate Repairs
Keep Your Skates Performing Their Best
When skates break down, performance and comfort suffer. From loose rivets to broken holders, damaged eyelets, or torn stitching, our professional skate repair service restores your skates so you can get back on the ice with confidence. Every repair is handled by trained technicians using pro-grade tools and parts, ensuring your skates feel solid, reliable, and game-ready.

Rivet Replacement
– Worn or loose rivets can cause blades to shift or feel unstable. We remove damaged rivets, replace them with brand-new steel, and reset them with precision so your holder is locked in tight. As part of every rivet repair, we also check that the holder and blade are perfectly straight and properly aligned, ensuring maximum stability, balance, and performance.

Holder Replacement
– Cracked or broken holders compromise both safety and balance. We remove the old holder and install brand-new original equipment replacements — the same parts used in skate manufacturing. Each holder is mounted and aligned with precision so your steel sits level and consistent, restoring the exact feel you expect from your skates.

Blade Mounting & Alignment
– If your steel isn’t sitting level, you’ll feel it every stride. We take the time to remount and align your blades with precision tools, ensuring they’re centered, balanced, and making even contact with the ice. The result is smoother strides, crisper turns, and an end to that “uneven” feeling underfoot.

Tendon Guard Repair
– Our specialty. We don’t just cover damage with leather — we rebuild and reinforce the internal structure, then stitch everything back seamlessly. The repair is imperceptible from the outside and restores full strength and durability.

Eyelet Repair & Reinforcement
– Blown or broken eyelets make it impossible to get a proper fit. In some cases, we can simply replace the damaged eyelet with a brand-new one. But when the hole itself is stretched or blown out, we rebuild and reinforce the area around it to ensure the new eyelet holds securely. Either way, you’ll get full lacing strength back so you can tighten your skates properly without worrying about failure.

Stitching & Patch Work
– Torn seams and worn areas weaken skates over time. Our technicians carefully restitch the original seam lines and reinforce high-stress areas, or apply discreet patching where material has worn through. Every repair blends in cleanly so your skates look professional while gaining years of extra life.

Custom Adjustments
– Every foot is different, and skates should feel like they’re built just for you. We offer stretching, punching, and heat adjustments to relieve pressure points, create more room where you need it, or fine-tune the fit. These subtle modifications improve both comfort and performance without compromising durability.

Carbon Fiber Repair
– Modern skates like True feature carbon fiber shells for strength and performance. When the shell cracks, it doesn’t mean the skate is finished. We repair and reinforce fractured carbon fiber, restoring both structure and durability while maintaining the skate’s lightweight, high-performance feel.

Happy Customers

I thought my skates were done for when the tendon guard snapped — I even started pricing out a new pair. The Hockey Doctor rebuilt it from the inside out, and I honestly can’t tell it was ever broken. The repair is invisible, the skates feel solid again, and I saved hundreds by not having to replace them. Absolutely top-notch work.

“Two of my eyelets ripped right through the boot and I couldn’t get my skates tight anymore. I brought them in expecting a quick patch job, but they reinforced the area and replaced the eyelets so well you’d never know they were damaged. The lacing feels stronger than when the skates were new.”
